About me
Hi, I’m Melissa Tam, a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Primary Care (with a focus on adults and children ages 10+), Urgent Care and Mental Health. I earned my Family Nurse Practitioner master's degree from Columbia University. Please note, I do not see patients for controlled substances.

As also a certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Life Coach, I’m passionate about helping people transform unhealthy habits into healthier lifestyles. This passion led me to start Good Habits NP in Family Health PLLC in 2021, a concierge holistic telemedicine practice focused on prevention and education, with a preference for medications if necessary and at lowest effective doses, and/or focusing more on natural or lifestyle remedies. I’ve had the privilege of working years with reputable telemedicine organizations like Hims and Hers, Amazon Clinic, GoodRx, and Walgreens. My consult services include weight concerns including diet/nutrition, improving mental health, smoking and alcohol addictions, sick visits (including COVID-19), addressing sexual health, or managing chronic illnesses, and lab testing (including genetic tests for hereditary cancer markers, prenatal genetic diseases, and psychotropic pharmagenomic testing).

My approach to patient care is rooted in empathy and understanding, creating a supportive environment where you feel empowered to make informed decisions about your health. I want to advocate for your health and make healthcare accessible, approachable, and less complicated. With experiences working in low-income, uninsured clinics in NYC, I try to keep cost in mind for my patients. I am committed to helping you achieve sustainable, positive changes in your life with patient-centered care focused on empathy and excellence. Let's work together towards your health goals.
