About me
Welcome to a space where your bravery in seeking healing and growth is deeply honored. As a licensed and board-certified counselor with a rich background in child, adolescent, marital, and family well-being, I have devoted over twenty years to fostering an environment of deep empathy, unconditional acceptance, and a steadfast dedication to excellence in care. My practice has evolved from focusing on primarily children and adolescent care to empowering adults through the complex journey of life.

The thought of therapy can be daunting; it often brings us face-to-face with our pain and the changes we long to make. My role is to guide you past those fears, ensuring that you feel heard, valued, and capable of tapping into your innate strength for transformation.

My approach is centered on creating an atmosphere where every individual feels seen and important. I am a firm believer in the transformative power of human connection and the simplicity of open, supportive dialogue. My clients have found success in feeling motivated to embrace change and discover their personal fortitude.

I am continually awed by the resilience and strength individuals exhibit during profound challenges. It's my passion to assist you in realizing your own potential to surmount adversity. Together, we'll navigate your path of self-discovery and healing.

Treatment philosophy & approaches

I realize how difficult it is to open up and talk about things you don't normally want to talk about so I strive to create a place of warmth and acceptance. I also know how important and healthy it is to laugh and celebrate accomplishments. I want to work as a partner to develop goals and help you feel empowered to make those changes.

Treats with the following approaches
I am a firm believer in delivering services that are tailored to the individual. I use best practices but am open to trying techniques "outside the box" that may be more effective based on presenting needs. I find that it is extremely important to listen paying close attention to nonverbal communication. I tend to step away from the traditional medical model to make the experience more collaborative to increase investment in making vital changes. Too many times in similar settings, people feel as if they are only able to give limited information and hurried out the door so to speak. I encourage openness and make a concerted attempt to analyze and evaluate sessions asking "am I delivering the quality of services they deserve and expect?"
